By the age of seven, I had crossed the country with my family in the back seat of our family Ford many times. And before that, my earliest memories are of being tucked in bed, listening to my mother in the other room sing and play at the piano. Music has been a fact of my life always, and like our travels, my musical journey has taken me far and wide. In my 20’s I found home on the New England coast, where I have since remained. It took a good bit longer to finally find my musical home — as a singer, songwriter, guitarist, telling stories in music. It feels good to finally be home, really home.
I get asked often about my musical style, and the question seems almost unanswerable. I am a singer/songwriter. I love to tell stories with my songs, love how they touch deeply or just make you smile. I love the acoustic guitar - the sound of it in my ears, the feel of it in my hands. Am I a Roots musician? Folk? Americana? Blues? Indie singer/songwriter? Yes, I think so, all of the above.
Enjoy.
